According to a new survey by an Education software company Kno, students are ready to sacrifice dating for a year and even sex only to avoid carrying textbooks each day of school for a semester. Actually, the study found out that 34% of respondents would prefer to stay at home every Saturday night and half said that would rather eat boxed macaroni and cheese than carry around textbooks.
Surprisingly, 20% said that they could even give up dating. Out of all students questioned, 34% are willing to take classes at 8 a.m. every day and 28% would let their parents visit them every weekend.
Students have claimed that they carry about 20 pounds of books each day. So, it is obvious that 71 percent agree to use digital textbooks though apps. They are available on netbooks, laptops and tablets. Students presumed that in case they can access text-books without the necessity to carry them, most of them will study more effectively and with more enthusiasm.
While almost half of students believe that in 5 years professors will no longer require them to carry text-books, others say that professors are unwilling to integrate top-notch technologies.
